Kick-off Meeting !

Under the Mobility Scheme of the EU4Business program of Eurochambres, we obtained a new grant (Ro2MdTur) to bring an expert (Mr. Vitalie Moraru from the Technology Transfer Network of Moldova) from Moldova to work in the field of tourism from 7 April to 6 May 2023. The funding covered travel, and accommodation. and subsistence expenses of EUR 1300 and for the activities performed Covasna CCI is to receive EUR 350.

At the event, Mr. László Endre, Vice-President of the Covasna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of the regional cluster presented the Management of Tourism Destinations, the new legislation about DMOs in Romania. Mrs. Deák Gyöngyvér, Executive Director of the Tourism Development Association of Covasna County gave a presentation about the history and activity of the association. At the event, we also invited Mr. Szabó Károly, Executive Director of the Intercommunity Development Association of Harghita County - ADI Harghita, who talked about how to transform a development association into a DMO, according to the new legislation. He also presented some sources of available funding.

Vizits at BSOs and SMEs

On 19 April 2023, we had a meeting with the tour operator Transilvania Tourist Service in Sfântu Gheorghe. Interesting discussions with László Endre, head of the agency, vice-president of the Covasna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and president of the Regional Tourism Management Organization, about trends in tourism, destination management, and legislative news in the field.

 

On 21 April 2023 Ro2MdTur was at Visit Covasna. We had discussions about the history of the tourist information agency and the Association for Tourism Development in Covasna County. We talked about partners, problems encountered, solutions found, and advertising methods..

 

On 26 April 2023, we passed through the Forest Region (Erdővidék) and the town of Baraolt (Barót). We had interesting talks about this region at the Baraolt Tourist Information Centre of the Visit Covasna network. An attraction of the region is the remains of a mastodon, kept at the Baraolt Depression Museum (Erdővidék Múzeuma).

 

 

On 26 April 2023, we visited the beautiful Castle Hotel Daniel in Tălișoara (Olasztelek) in the Forest Region (Erdővidék), which offers guests accommodation in beautifully decorated historic rooms and spa experiences of the highest quality. Guests can also enjoy fine cuisine. Guests can also choose additional leisure programs, hiking, etc .

 

The Ro2MdTur project visited Count Kalnoky's Guesthouses in Transylvania, and the beautiful holiday homes in Micloșoara (Miklósvár) where guests can enjoy many details of local traditions. The idyllic atmosphere is much appreciated by English tourists, who in addition to the accommodation services can also enjoy horse riding, sauna, and cypress programs, etc. These guesthouses are run in conjunction with the estate of the King of England, Charles III, in the Zlan Valley.

 

We were guests of Kálnoky Castle, a 17th-century castle in Micloșoara (Miklósvár), renovated and turned into a museum with an interesting collection.

 

În data de 27 aprilie 2023 proiectul Ro2MdTur a vizitat frumosul lac vulcanic, unic în România, Lacul Sfânta Ana, parte a unei zone protejate, alături de tinovul Mohoș (o mlaștină oligotrofă cu plante carnivore). Accesul cu mașina este posibil din județul Covasna pe DN 11C, din Bixad și Bálványos

 

On 27 April 2023, Ro2MdTur project visited BÁLVÁNYOS RESORT - an oasis of peace and quiet surrounded by the mountains and forests of Lake St. Anna, located on DN 11C, between Băile Tușnad and Târgu Secuiesc. The resort offers ideal conditions for an unforgettable stay.

In the middle of a nature reserve, among healing springs and ancient fir trees, GRAND SANTERRA SPA is an oasis of peace and recreation that enhances the charm of this blessed place in Transylvania, offering indoor and outdoor spaces that blend naturally. Heated bathtubs hidden among the conifers, water pools and rooms for individual spa experiences, saunas and many other relaxing places, a combination of stone and wood, plants, water and fire, together create a serene and harmonious environment.

Moldovans visit this beautiful complex in large numbers.

 

On the way, on DN 11C, we visited the Szejke Spring, with its ferruginous, bicarbonated, chloride-sodium water. This naturally carbonated mineral water is recommended for gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders, urinary lithiasis, and anemia.

Szejke Spring, together with other mineral water springs in Covasna County, is part of the "Mineral Water Road" project, completed in 2014.

 

We visited the center of Târgu Secuiesc. Here, from the beautiful Gábor Áron square, radiating streets open up through the courtyards of houses, former guild houses. The town is famous for its clothing industry.
