Study visit of textile business delegation to Azerbaijan

From 7 to 10 September 2022, the Covasna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and the Association for the Development of Women Entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan (AWEDA) organized a study visit to Baku, Azerbaijan. The study visit financed by the Ro2AzTex project was attended by representatives of 8 companies from Romania and Covasna CCI experts.

On this occasion, business meetings were organized, an international conference with the participation of the Romanian Embassy in Baku, and visits to factories, warehouses, workshop shops etc. The companies could get to know the offer of materials in Azerbaijan, negotiate prices and quality, establish business connections, and discuss access to shops and malls, some of them wishing to return to this country.

On the first day we visited 2 textile factories and a wholesale shop. At Betex we found a modern factory producing T-shirts, socks and sanitary masks. The Baku Textile Factory produced winter jackets, technical clothing and socks.

The next day we organized a Business Forum and B2B business meetings at KOBIA headquarters in Baku Business Center. We benefited from the support of the Romanian Embassy in Baku. The Business Forum was attended by officials from AZ PROMO - Export Promotion Agency and KOBIA - SME Agency, parliamentarians, representatives of BSO partner ASK - from the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce and Industry etc.
